Others have complained that this phone holder is too stiff, and they can’t adjust it easily. It is very stiff, but i think that’s a feature, not a “bug.” i bought this to film myself teaching zentangle ™️ Drawing classes, and for that it needs to be quite stable. I don’t have the funds for an expensive setup, and the tiny one i bought before just won’t point where it needs to, because it is too small. It will take some strength to set it up, but once i do, i think it will work fine. I also like the configuration of the clamp. I have a magnifying lamp i use, and that has a clamp that i can’t use on my current desk because the desk has a curved edge, and a raised decorative lip on the back. I believe i will be able to set this one up on the back decorative board of the antique desk, and have it be 1) stable; 2) reach the location i need without interfering with my own use of the magnifying light; and 3) not damage the desk. It’s certainly worth a try for the price!

It's too thick for a phone with a thick case = the clamp can't hold the phone. A thinner case or just a phone can hold the clamp. The phone becomes too heavy for the holder with a longer arm and tips downward.
